Your purchase creates a sustainable livelihood for Peru’s poorest residents by supporting small artisans in slums settlements of Lima and rural villages through training, resources, and markets to sell their handcrafts. Your purchase also helps preserve Peruvian handcraft traditions.
Since 1991, SERRV International has partnered with artisans in Lima, providing a long-term trading partnership and interest-free advance payment for our orders. Through sales of their products, more than 350 artisans in Lima and throughout Peru benefit from advances on their orders, technical assistance, help with new product design, and training in areas such as administration, accounting, and production. Artisans also devote 20% of profits to social work, providing warm meals, school uniforms, and school supplies to poor children and scholarships for children of artisans.
