Your purchase supports women artisans in the central region of Uganda, bringing about visible transformation in their lives and a stronger voice in their families and communities by providing fair wages through handcrafting.
Since 1996, SERRV International has partnered with artisans in Uganda, providing a long-term trading partnership and interest-free advance payment for our orders. Through sales of their products, nearly 80 basket weavers earn a steady income, enabling them to make decisions and be less dependent on men for access to food, shelter, health, and education for their children. In addition, artisans in Uganda are involved in microfinancing, information and research, and lobbying for women’s rights.
